Vermilion Historical Society In-Person

The Vermilion Historical Society in partnership the Ritter Public Library will present a video narrative featuring articles from the “Vermilion Views”, a weekly online column written by Rich Tarrant, curator of the Vermilion History Museum. The program will feature Vermilion photos from the 1900s to the 1960s.

Tarrant has been collecting and researching old photos and the stories behind them for over 20 years. Many of his photos were taken by his grandfather Pearl Roscoe who was owner and publisher of the weekly newspaper the “Vermilion News” (1905-1964).

Glen Cutcher, member of the Historical Society, has created the video narrative using the museum’s photo collection.

The video will be shown on Tuesday, November 18th at 7:00 PM in the Ritter Public Library, lower level. Refreshments will be served following the program.

The program is free and open to the public to enjoy. For more information contact: VermilionHistoricalSociety@gmail.com.
